Estudio etnográfico que tiene como propósito la aproximación al conocimiento sobre la migración de “ida y vuelta” canaria-venezolana. Referenciando, entre otros, las migraciones realizadas por los habitantes de las Islas Canarias a partir de la posguerra civil española del siglo pasado y posteriormente, los viajes de vuelta desde Venezuela de muchos de esos migrantes y/o sus descendientes en este siglo. A partir del material etnográfico recolectado, se analizan las dificultades a las que se han tenido que enfrentar en sus respectivos procesos de migración, así como los principales problemas de adaptación a las respectivas sociedades receptoras.
This ethnographic study aims to provide an understanding of the Canary IslandsVenezuelan "round-trip" migration. It references, among other things, the migrations undertaken by the inhabitants of the Canary Islands during the post-Spanish Civil War of the last century and the subsequent return journeys from Venezuela of many of these migrants and/or their descendants in this century. Based on the collected material, the difficulties they have faced in their respective migration processes are analyzed, as well as the main problems of adaptation to their respective host societies.
