Resumen
Este trabajo trata sobre una de las iniciativas de la Hermandad del Refugio y Piedad de Madrid: el Colegio de niñas huérfanas de la Purísima Concepción, fundado en 1651, encomendado a una rectora y a maestras seglares. Las fuentes primarias del estudio son las Constituciones y Reglamentos colegiales. Los objetivos son mostrar la religiosidad como elemento transversal en la historia del Colegio y la evolución de los planes de estudios de sus alumnas desde sus inicios hasta 1888, año en que las religiosas de la Compañía de santa Teresa de Jesús dirigieron el centro educativo hasta su cierre en 2023.
This work focuses on one of the initiatives of the Holy, Royal, and Pontifical Brotherhood of Refuge and Piety of Madrid: The College for Orphan Girls of the Immaculate Conception, was founded in 1651 and entrusted to a female rector and secular teachers. The main objectives are to highlight religiosity as a transversal element in the history of the College and to trace the evolution of the school curriculum for its students from its beginnings until 1888, when the educational center was entrusted to the Sisters of the Company of Saint Teresa of Jesus until its closure in 2023.
