Resumen
En las últimas décadas, la salud mental infantil y juvenil se ha planteado como uno de los temas prioritarios en las agendas públicas en materia de política sanitaria, exigiendo una especial atención por parte de los Estados y la comunidad internacional. El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster realiza un estado de la cuestión en torno a dicha temática, concretando en el contexto español y en la Comunidad de Madrid. Para ello, se analiza el marco normativo aplicable a nivel europeo, nacional y autonómico, guiando la discusión científico-académica en torno a los datos más recientes y destacables sobre los trastornos mentales y la ideación suicida en niños, niñas y adolescentes. Finalmente, el trabajo concluye con la formulación de propuestas de mejora a partir de las recomendaciones de los especialistas en el tema y de la evidencia empírica aportada hasta el momento.
In recent decades, child and adolescent mental health has been established as one of the priority issues on public agendas in the field of health policy, requiring special attention from States and the international community. This Master’s Thesis provides an overview of the current situation of this subject, focusing on the Spanish context and specifically on the Community of Madrid. For that purpose, it examines the applicable regulatory framework at the European, national, and regional levels, guiding the scientific and academic discussion around the most recent and significant data on mental disorders and suicidal ideation among children and adolescents. Finally, the thesis concludes with the formulation of proposals for improvement based on the recommendations of specialists and the empirical evidence available up to now.
