La Ley de 20 de diciembre de 1952 sobre organización y funciones del Patronato de Protección a la Mujer marcó el inicio de una brecha cada vez mayor entre dicha institución y una realidad social en la que la mujer se iba desligando del rol que el franquismo había reservado para ella. En este contexto, este trabajo investiga cuál fue la presencia del Patronato de Protección a la Mujer en Aragón, así como el anacronismo que representó la persistencia de una de las instituciones franquistas más coercitivas en términos de control social hasta bien entrada la democracia en España.
The Law of December 20, 1952, which regulated the organization and functions of the Patronato de Protección a la Mujer, marked the beginning of an increasing divergence between this institution and a social reality in which women were progressively distancing themselves from the role assigned to them by Francoism. In this context, this study examines the presence and influence of the Patronato de Protección a la Mujer in Aragón, as well as the anachronism represented by the persistence of one of the most coercive Francoist institutions, from the perspective of social control, well into the democratic period in Spain.
