Resumen
El establecimiento de un espacio de libertad, seguridad y justicia en la Unión Europea tiene como resultado la competencia de la Unión en materia de políticas de seguridad interior, inmigración y asilo. Así, la Unión tiene como misión, el establecimiento de un sistema común de asilo que, garantizando el respeto de los derechos fundamentales de aquellos individuos meecedores de una protección especial, sea capaz de asegurar la seguridad del espacio europeo. Nuevamente, el difícil equilibrio entre seguridad y derechos humanos se plantea en un escenario en el que cientos de miles de personas desean llegar a una Europa en la que poder vivir en dignidad.
Creating an area of freedom, security and justice ¡n the European Union it has resulted in policies of ¡nternal security, immigration and asylum within the competence of the EU. Thus, the Union's mission is the establishment of a common asylum system that ensures respect for the fundamental rights of those individuáis deserving of special protection, being capable of ensuring the safety of European space. Again, the difficult balance between security and human rights arises in a scenario in which hundreds of thousands of people want to reach a Europe in which to live in dignity.
