dc.description.abstractRoman portraits with Y-Motif in the fringe have never been investigated exhaustively. Isolated comments or individual studies of some of them are all that can be found in specialised literature. The basic questions posed by the use of this iconographic detail in Roman portraiture remain unanswered: when and where it was employed, who were portrayed in that way, and why. The aim of the present paper is to fill that gap in research.en
dc.description.abstractLos retratos romanos con motivo en forma de Y en el flequillo no han sido nunca investigados exhaustivamente. Comentarios aislados o estudios individuales de algunos de ellos es todo lo que puede encontrarse en la literatura especializada. Las preguntas clave planteadas por el uso de este detalle iconográfico en la retratística romana continúan sin respuesta: cuándo y dónde fue empleado, quién se retrató de ese modo y por qué. El objetivo de este artículo es solventar esa carencia en la investigación.es
