Resumen
La memoria y el recuerdo representan dos cualidades humanas fundamentales para generar pensamiento crítico y avanzar hacia sociedades más justas e igualitarias. La construcción de discursos de la memoria se consigue a través de los recuerdos individuales del pasado histórico puestos en común en una identidad colectiva. Es en este aspecto que los cómics e historietas nacionales creadas en cada país pueden jugar un papel importante a la hora de conformar, modificar o configurar su pasado histórico. En el caso particular de Chile, su narración gráfica ofrece importantes ejemplos de relatos que describen situaciones e historietas de diversas temáticas pero que tienen como eje vertebrador la mejora de las condiciones políticas y económicas de la sociedad chilena. De esta forma, esta investigación presenta y analiza algunas de las temáticas sociales y reivindicativas que ha trabajado la representación gráfica chilena a lo largo de la última década. Muchas de estas temáticas se relacionan entre sí y demuestran la importancia de la historieta nacional chilena en la percepción de una memoria colectiva reivindicativa y crítica.
Memory and remembrance represent two fundamental human qualities for generating critical thinking and moving towards fairer and more egalitarian societies. The memory discourses are built through individual memories taken from the historical past and shared in a common identity. In this aspect, the comics and national cartoons created in every country can play an important role in shaping, modifying or configuring of their historical past. In the particular case of Chile, its graphic narrative offers important examples of stories that describe diverse situations and stories but have as its backbone the enhancement of the political and economic conditions of Chilean society. This research analyses the main social and vindictive themes that Chilean graphic representation has work on over the last decade. Most of the themes relate to each other and demonstrate the importance of the Chilean national comics in the perception of a collective narrative and critical memory.
