Publicación Effective judicial protection in consumer protection in the ECJ's case law(Social Science Research Network, 2014-09-01) Sarrión Esteve, JoaquínThe aim of my paper is to examine the effective control that ECJ exercises on national law applying the right for citizens to benefit from effective judicial protection, particularly in the matter of consumer protection. As we know, when there is not a regulation in EU law, Member States possess a procedural autonomy. However, this called procedural autonomy must respect and guarantee the exercise of UE fundamental rights. ECJ developed a relevant jurisprudence in this matter that is very interesting. In this sense, I study the cases Unibet (C-432/05), Pannon GSM (243-08), Penzugyi (C-137/08), Domínguez (C-282/10), Banco Español de Crédito (C-618/10), and Aziz (415/11). And finally I highline the recent case Sánchez Morcillo (C-169/14). Thanks to this study we will be able to understand better actual perspectives of procedural autonomy and the right for citizens to benefit from effective judicial protection in the matter of consumer protection as a limit to this EU law principle.Publicación Socio-economic effects of migration of labor force on Spania and Romania(Bibliotheca Târgovişte) Enache, Nicoleta; González Rabanal, Miryam de la ConcepciónEuropean Union economies are pressed by (i) a demographic change that induces population ageing and a decline of the workforce, and (ii) a split labour market that is characterized by high levels of unemployment for low-skilled people and a simultaneous shortage of skilled workers. This lack of flexible high-skilled workers and the aging process has created the image of an immobile labour force and the eurosklerosis phenomenon. In such a situation, an economically motivated immigration policy at the European level can generate welfare improvements. A selective policy that discourages unskilled migrants and attracts skilled foreign workers will vitalize the labour market, foster growth and increase demand for unskilled native workers.Publicación Virtual service-learning: a tool to improve students' skills training and employability(iated DIGITAL LIBRARY) González Rabanal, Miryam de la ConcepciónThe Bologna Space has demanded the university education to focus on training students in competencies and soft skills. The virtual tool of Service-Learning (vS-L) is very suitable to carry out this task insofar as it incorporates a service aspect to the learning process that, in addition, allows students to be the protagonists of their own training process. The possibility of developing it online has important strengths: being able to implement it even when mobility is restricted, linking any student regardless of their place of residence and a significant reduction in the costs of carrying out this type of S-L experiences.
