Etnografías de empoderamiento en Europa y América: diseñando futuro con las comunidades

dc.description.abstractEn este artículo nos planteamos integrar experiencias en investigación e intervención en la confluencia entre lo digital y lo material en el escenario de Europa-España y América Latina-Ecuador. En cuanto a lo digital, presentamos un balance de los procesos de recepción de una serie de documentales etnográficos realizados con las comunidades para la transformación de la realidad social en un modelo que hemos venido en llamar etnografías de empoderamiento (Martínez y Camas, 2014, Camas y Martínez 2015; Trueba y Delgado, 1991). Esta forma de realización de documentales etnográficos desde la investigación participativa (Pereda y De Prada, 2014) nos ha ido permitiendo constituir comunidades de aprendizaje (Elboj, 2002) y conocimiento local o comunidades de práctica (Betancourt, Mertens y Parra, 2016) en la actualidad en la sociedad ecuatoriana. En el extremo de lo material traemos la reflexión previa en torno a los movimientos sociales contemporáneos en España para aplicar lo aprendido en la Escuela de sociología cualitativa de Madrid con el fin de generar unas ciencias sociales críticas y reflexivas en América Latina. Nuestra propuesta pasa por la creación de unos productos audiovisuales, la generación y apropiación de conocimiento en el modo 3 (Acosta y Carreño, 2013), la contestación a las formas de poder desde la participación y la horizontalidad y, finalmente, posibilitar el cambio desde una forma de investigación e intervención social centrada en el diseño del futuro con las comunidades. Proponemos una reflexión epistemológica para un conocimiento antropológico desde una etnografía centrada en el futuro diseñado y proyectado por la gente y no sólo con la academia. Retomamos esta idea de una nueva forma de hacer etnografía como un compromiso con el futuro que vendría a ser un futuro aplicado, como se muestra en los documentales que realizamos en 2002: Al compás de los sueños y en 2014: Acolítame Ñañón; el primero en Córdoba, España, el segundo en Cayambe, Ecuador. Todo este entretejido da un giro en los días que suceden al desastroso terremoto ocurrido en la costa ecuatoriana el 16 de abril de 2016 cuando este texto estaba siendo redactado. As for digital, we present a balance of the processes of receiving a series of ethnographic documentaries with communities to transform the social reality in a model that we have been called ethnographies of empowerment (Martinez and Camas, 2014, Camas and Martinez 2015; Trueba and Delgado, 1991). This embodiment of ethnographic documentaries from participatory research (Pereda and Prada, 2014) has been allowing us to establish learning communities (Elboj, 2002) and local knowledge or communities of practice (Betancourt, Mertens and Parra, 2016) in the currently in Ecuadorian society. At the end of the previous material we bring reflection on contemporary social movements in Spain to apply what they learned in the School of qualitative sociology of Madrid in order to generate a critical and reflective perspective of social sciences in Latin America. Our proposal involves the creation of audiovisual productions, the generation and dissemination of knowledge in Mode 3 (Acosta and Carreno, 2013), the answer to the forms of power through participation and horizontality and eventually allow the change from a form of research and social intervention focused on the design of future communities. We propose an epistemological reflection for an anthropological knowledge from an ethnography focused on the future designed and planned by people, and not only with academia. We return to this idea of a new way of doing ethnography as a commitment to the future which would be an applied one, as shown in the documentary we made in 2002, The rhythm of our dreams and in 2014, Acolítame Ñanon, the first in Cordoba, Spain, the second in Cayambe, Ecuador. All this interweaving takes a turn in the days that follow the disastrous earthquake in Ecuador's coast on April 16, 2016 when this text was being drafted. The analysis of how we are reviewing our way of designing the future with communities from community mental health (Cohen, 2009) since that day is in these pages.es
