dc.description.abstractEl presente trabajo de investigación trata de llegar a una conclusión válida sobre la veracidad histórica de la circunnavegación fenicia del continente africano ordenada por el faraón egipcio Neco II y transmitida por el historiador Heródoto. Para ello se ocupa en primer lugar de analizar dicha fuente de información, indaga luego sobre las condiciones materiales y conocimientos náuticos y geográficos que existían en la época correspondiente, propone seguidamente algunas características del posible viaje para concluir finalmente exponiendo los argumentos favorables y contrarios a la historicidad del hecho en sí.es
dc.description.abstractThe present work of investigation tries to reach a valid conclusion on the historical veracity of the Phoenician circumnavigation of the African continent ordered by the Egyptian Pharaoh Neco II and transmitted by the historian Heródoto. In order to do this, it is firstly concerned with analyzing this source of information, then investigating the material conditions and nautical and geographical knowledge that existed at the relevant time, then proposes some characteristics of the possible voyage to finally conclude by presenting the arguments favorable and contrary to the Historicity of the fact itself.en
