Sin embargo, todavía no se ha prestado la suficiente atención a unas fuentes que podrían ofrecer una información fundamental para el conocimiento de las prácticas gráficas de una minoría que habitaba durante el gobierno de los emires y califas. Tras dedicar un primer apartado a las fuentes epigráficas y a revisar la problemática que presenta el análisis de la epigrafía cristiana andalusí, procedemos al examen del contexto geográfico de las inscripciones, al estudio de la escritura en comparación con otros testimonios de la península ibérica y al análisis formal de los epígrafes, para establecer una delimitación de cada variante y su caracterización.Few epigraphic testimonies have been preserved from the Andalusi Christian communities. However, insufficient attention has been paid to sources that could offer fundamental information for the knowledge of the graphic practices of a minority living under the rule of the emirs and caliphs.
