El presente artículo aborda la actividad del Instituto Nacional de Colonización (INC) vinculada a la capacidad de adaptación de la estética del arte contemporáneo a las necesidades de un paisaje cultural aislado. Valorando el binomio de artistas y arquitectos en las iglesias de pueblos de Levante y Extremadura, se pretende dar a conocer el patrimonio artístico sacro que forma parte del génesis profesional de artistas de vanguardia. La metodología practicada está basada en la visita a los pueblos, entrevista a colonos y recopilación fotográfica de las obras artísticas sacras.
The aim of this article is to address the National Colonization Institute (INC) activities linked to the capacity of the aesthetics of contemporary art in order to adapt to the needs of these isolated cultural communities. By highlighting the relationship between artists and architects in the churches from Levante and Extremadura towns, the aim is to make known the sacred artistic heritage that forms part of the professional genesis of avant-garde artists. The methodology is based on town visits, interviews and a photographic compilation of works of sacred art.
