The hybridization of combined cycle plants, via the integration of heliothermal technology, results in an increase in the power generated, followed by a reduction in specific consumption and atmospheric emissions; making it a solution combined with the concept of decarbonization. This work aims to survey a new degradation profile of the useful power by the hybridized cycle, depending on the new operating conditions. The evaluation of the degradation profile of existing combined cycle plants is based on performance tests, which allow comparing the estimated degradation values (power and heat rate), indicated by the machine manufacturer, with the values obtained in the respective tests. Using thermodynamic models based on the First Law of Thermodynamics and using a hybridized arrangement applied to a plant in combined cycle operation in northeastern of Brazil, it becomes possible to recover amounts of degraded net power throughout the useful life of the machines.
